Depending on care needs
Once assessment is conducted one of the following options will be presented along with the pros and cons.
Independent Living Apartments
Apartments in a community, stand alone or part of a multi type setting. One must be completely independent as there is no hands on assistance provided. Some or all meals included and prices vary greatly. Available in studio, one bedroom or 2 bedroom suites.
Assisted Living Apartments
Centers that provide an apartment —like setting and 3 different levels of care. Some even provide a locked unit for clients who suffer from dementia related diagnoses. 3 meals a day, laundry, medication administration and assistance with daily living along with activities provided by an activity director.
Assisted Living Homes
Home-like setting and 3 different levels of care. All locked and alarmed for clients who suffer from dementia related diagnoses. 3 meals a day, laundry, medication administration and assistance with daily living along with activities provided by staff. Caregiver to resident ratio Is usually 1-5. Homes are more suited for clients needing more hands on care and love the feel of home vs apartment style.
